Job summary

BDO Unibank through its subsidiary BDO Network Bank is seeking an Account Officer for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The role focuses on achieving loan volume targets while preserving profitability, credit quality, and customer service excellence.

You will actively solicit microfinance loan accounts through field visits, assess applicant qualifications, and coordinate processing with the relevant teams to support timely loan booking and servicing. Experience in microfinance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any four-year or five-year degree course.
• Good selling, communication and customer service skills.
• Amenable to field work / working on the field on an almost daily basis.
• Must have basic mathematical knowledge.
• Familiar with word processing & spreadsheets.
• Fieldwork and sales experience in Microfinance is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Actively solicit microfinance loan accounts by doing field visits to meet the business needs of the customer.
• Analyze overall loan applicant’s qualifications to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Initiate credit and collection activities to ensure credit quality of accounts.
• Coordinate with concerned officers and/or other units related to processing and servicing of loan applications and loan clients.
• Review and update customer loan files, loan agreements, etc. to ensure adequacy for credit processing and loan booking.
• Execute sales and/or marketing activities that will achieve volume targets.
