Job summary

Coins.ph, a leading Filipino crypto brand, is hiring in Cebu City to onboard new merchants and grow our merchant network across the Visayas. You will build relationships, negotiate terms, and collaborate with product, tech, and operations to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing support.

The role requires 2–4 years in merchant acquisition or related areas, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel within Cebu and nearby islands. Based in Cebu or willing to relocate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development, or account management, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or e-commerce.
• Proven experience closing deals and managing a high-volume portfolio.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with a strong drive to exceed targets and KPIs.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, comfortable working with some autonomy in a regional territory.
• Ability to coordinate with international partners and stakeholders.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback.
• Based in Cebu or willing to relocate; familiarity with the local merchant landscape is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Cebu and the Visayas for merchant visits.

Responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and onboard new merchants across various industries onto our payment services (POS terminals, QR payments, e-wallets).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing merchants in Cebu and the surrounding area to drive usage, retention, and satisfaction.
• Negotiate merchant discount rates (MDRs), commercial terms, and service agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams (product, tech, operations) to support smooth onboarding and integration.
• Serve as the main point of contact for merchant queries, support, and escalations.
• Monitor account and portfolio performance, track transaction volumes, and identify growth opportunities within your territory.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs in the payments and fintech space.
• Represent the company at local merchant and industry events across Cebu and the Visayas as needed
