About the role

MKS Workforce Management Services Inc is seeking a skilled and dedicated Merchandiser/Butcher/Chicken Cutter to join our team on a full-time basis in Balagtas, Bulacan. This role is essential to our operations, as you will be responsible for preparing, displaying and selling high-quality meat and poultry products to our customers. You will play a crucial part in maintaining our reputation for excellence in meat merchandising and ensuring that our customers receive premium products prepared to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

• Cutting, trimming and preparing fresh poultry and meat products according to company standards and customer specifications

• Operating butchery equipment safely and efficiently, including meat slicers, bone saws and other specialised tools

• Maintaining proper food hygiene and sanitation practices in accordance with health and safety regulations

• Arranging and merchandising meat and poultry products in display cases to maximise visual appeal and sales potential

• Weighing and pricing meat and poultry items accurately using point-of-sale systems

• Interacting professionally with customers to take orders, provide product recommendations and address enquiries

• Monitoring stock levels and rotating products to ensure freshness and minimise waste

• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces

• Following all food safety protocols and company procedures consistently

• Supporting team members and contributing to a positive workplace culture

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a butcher, chicken cutter or in a similar meat preparation role within a retail or food service environment

• Strong knowledge of meat and poultry cuts, grades and preparation techniques

• Proficiency in operating butchery equipment safely and maintaining sharp cutting tools

• Excellent understanding of food hygiene, sanitation and safety regulations

• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, particularly during peak trading hours

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items

• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality and presentation

• Reliability and a strong work ethic

• Willingness to learn and adapt to company procedures and systems

• Preferred: Certifications in food safety or meat preparation would be advantageous
