Qualifications

• Trade qualification or diploma in mechanical engineering, mechanical technology, or equivalent practical qualification.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general mechanical principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment, machinery, and systems to identify faults and implement corrective solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to schedules.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components with proper alignment and functionality.
• Conduct equipment testing and quality checks to ensure repairs meet standards.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and repair records for serviced equipment.
• Install new mechanical equipment and components per specifications and safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and minimize downtime.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Technician to join the team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Santo Tomas City, Batangas. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and servicing mechanical equipment and systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will be essential in supporting our cooperative's machinery and equipment infrastructure, directly contributing to our productivity and service delivery goals.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment, machinery, and systems to identify faults and implement corrective solutions
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules and procedures
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components, ensuring proper alignment and functionality
• Conduct equipment testing and quality checks to verify repairs meet operational standards
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and repair records for all serviced equipment
• Install new mechanical equipment and components in accordance with technical specifications and safety guidelines
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and develop effective solutions with minimal downtime
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimise disruption to operations
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment

What we're looking for

• Trade qualification or diploma in mechanical engineering, mechanical technology, or equivalent practical qualification
• Proven experience working as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar technical maintenance role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general mechanical principles
• Proficiency in using mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual work, lifting, and working at heights where required
• Valid driver's license is preferred
• Flexibility to work additional hours when maintenance emergencies arise
