Job summary

Ecology Energy Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery. The role requires troubleshooting breakdowns, reading drawings, and aligning mechanical systems.

You will work with hand and power tools, document activities, and follow safety rules in a plant environment. Candidate should have a technical degree, plant maintenance experience, and the ability to work shifts and overtime when required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical course.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance in plant/industrial environments.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Knowledgeable in pumps, bearings, gears, and piping systems.
• Safety-conscious with good attention to detail.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, or on emergencies when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and identify root causes.
• Repair, replace, and adjust bearings, belts, gears, pumps, valves.
• Inspect and monitor equipment condition regularly.
• Install, align, assemble, and disassemble equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment properly.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Record maintenance activities and equipment conditions.
• Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to address issues.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain tools and work areas in clean, safe condition.

• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and identify the root cause of equipment problems.

• Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, gears, pumps, and valves.

• Conduct regular inspection and monitoring of equipment condition.

• Perform equipment installation, alignment, assembly, and disassembly.

• Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical testing equipment properly.

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications.

• Record maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment conditions.

• Coordinate with other maintenance personnel and departments to address equipment concerns.

• Follow company safety procedures, maintenance standards, and PPE requirements.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.

• Perform other maintenance-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical course.

• With experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a plant or industrial environment.

• Knowledgeable in mechanical equipment, machinery, pumps, motors, bearings, gears, and piping systems.

• Basic knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.

• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Willing to work in a plant environment.

• Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, or during emergencies when required.

• TESDA certification or relevant technical certification is an advantage.

• Safety-conscious, reliable, and detail-oriented.
