Job summary

Harbor Star Shipping Services, Inc. is seeking a Sales and Marketing Officer to generate new business and manage client relationships in Iloilo. You will promote marine services and support revenue targets for the branch.

The role requires 3+ years in B2B sales, strong negotiation and relationship skills, and willingness to travel to ports. You will coordinate with Operations to deliver service and maintain a robust sales pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Maritime Studies or Logistics.
• Minimum 3 years in B2B sales, account management or business development.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, port or maritime industries is preferred.
• Established professional network in shipping/logistics is an advantage.
• Leadership or supervisory experience and cross-team coordination ability.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship skills.
• Commercially driven, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel and conduct fieldwork including port visits.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in tugboat, harbor, towage, salvage and related marine services.
• Build and maintain relationships with shipping lines, port operators, shipowners, agents and government stakeholders.
• Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, presentations and client requirements.
• Negotiate terms and coordinate with Operations to ensure service delivery.
• Monitor market developments, competitors, port movements and opportunities.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and submit forecasts, activity reports and updates.
• Assist in achieving the branch's sales, revenue and client-retention targets.
• Represent the company professionally during client meetings and industry events.
• Provide leadership to assigned personnel and support branch commercial objectives.
