About the role
The Maritime Sales Executive is responsible for growing revenue from both existing and new customers in the Philippine maritime market. The role will promote and sell marine navigation, communication, safety, and bridge equipment, as well as related services, upgrades, spares, and maintenance solutions. The position requires a proactive, field-oriented salesperson who can develop long-term customer relationships, identify vessel and fleet requirements, coordinate technical proposals, and consistently achieve sales targets.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow assigned existing accounts by identifying replacement, upgrade, spare parts, service, and maintenance opportunities.
- Develop new business opportunities with shipowners, shipping lines, ship management companies, shipyards, marine contractors, and related maritime customers.
- Promote the company's maritime product portfolio, including navigation, communications, bridge equipment, satellite connectivity, safety systems, and related services.
- Conduct regular customer visits, vessel visits, presentations, product demonstrations, and technical-commercial discussions.
- Identify customer requirements and coordinate with Product Management, Pre-Sales, Systems Engineering, and Service teams to prepare accurate proposals and quotations.
- Prepare and submit quotations, bid documents, product presentations, and follow-up correspondence on time.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with clear opportunity stages, values, target closing dates, next actions, and regular updates.
- Negotiate commercial terms within approved company guidelines and help close purchase orders.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, delivery commitments, installation schedules, and after-sales concerns to strengthen account relationships.
- Track market activity, fleet expansion, dry-docking schedules, competitor movements, and new maritime regulations that may create sales opportunities.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Marine Transportation, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- At least two (2) years of proven sales experience; business-to-business or technical sales experience is preferred.
- Experience in maritime electronics, marine navigation, communications, satellite connectivity, safety equipment, ship supplies, ship management, or shipping operations is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with products such as radar, ECDIS, GPS/GNSS, AIS, VHF, GMDSS, VSAT, Starlink, Iridium, autopilot, VDR, or bridge equipment is an advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Able to understand customer operational requirements and translate them into commercial opportunities.
- Highly organized, results-oriented, and disciplined in pipeline management and sales reporting.
- Willing to conduct frequent customer and vessel visits, including occasional provincial travel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication.
- Must be trustworthy, self-driven, customer-focused, and able to work effectively with technical and service teams.
