Job summary

FILOIL GAS and ENERGY COMPANY, INC. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment at our terminal.

You will conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and coordinate with contractors to minimize downtime while complying with safety standards. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, with 2–3 years of relevant experience and a licensed/registered engineer status

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• Licensed/Registered Engineer preferred.
• 2–3 years of relevant maintenance engineering experience.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems is an advantage.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and work orders.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication, coordination, and project management skills.
• Willing to work in a terminal/industrial environment and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and identify defects, failures, and maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and system issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel, contractors, and service providers.
• Monitor pumps, motors, pipelines, tanks, loading equipment, utilities, and other terminal facilities.
• Prepare maintenance schedules, work orders, technical reports, and maintenance records.
• Assist in planning and executing maintenance projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.
• Ensure activities are completed safely, efficiently, within schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with Operations to minimize disruptions during maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, environmental requirements, and health and safety regulations.
• Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning, and acceptance of equipment.
• Monitor spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials requirements.
• Evaluate contractors and service providers for adherence to specifications.
• Support emergency maintenance and troubleshooting when required.
• Recommend improvements to equipment reliability and maintenance procedures.

• Monitor the condition and performance of pumps, motors, pipelines, tanks, loading equipment, utilities, and other terminal facilities.

• Prepare maintenance schedules, work orders, technical reports, and equipment maintenance records.

• Assist in the planning and execution of maintenance projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.

• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within the approved schedule and budget.

• Coordinate with Operations and other departments to minimize operational disruptions during maintenance activities.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, engineering standards, environmental requirements, and health and safety regulations.

• Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning, and acceptance of newly installed or repaired equipment.

• Monitor spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials requirements.

• Evaluate contractors and service providers and ensure work is completed according to specifications.

• Support emergency maintenance and troubleshooting activities when required.

• Recommend improvements to equipment reliability, maintenance procedures, and overall facility efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.

• Preferably a Licensed/Registered Engineer.

• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in oil & gas, petroleum, manufacturing, industrial, or terminal operations.

• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial equipment and facilities.

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems is an advantage.

• Familiarity with maintenance management systems, work orders, and maintenance documentation.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication, coordination, and project management skills.

• Willing to work in a terminal/industrial environment and respond to maintenance emergencies when necessary.
