Job summary

Acesite (Phils) Hotel Corporation is looking for a proactive paralegal/legal assistant to support the VP - Corporate Affairs in Manila. You will prepare and organize legal documents, contracts, and correspondence for review and execution, and conduct legal research on relevant laws and regulations.

Under supervision, you will draft memoranda, maintain secure legal files, and assist in corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, and liaison with internal departments and external counsel.

Qualifications

  • Formal education in Law or Legal Studies; paralegal cert preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine legal procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to draft clear legal documents.
  • Proficiency in legal research methodologies and resources.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organise legal documents, contracts, agreements, and correspondence for review and execution.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in drafting legal correspondence, memoranda, and other written materials under supervision.
  • Maintain and update legal files, documents, and case management systems.
  • Support preparation of legal documents for corporate transactions, litigation, and regulatory matters.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external counsel to gather information for proceedings.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with hospitality regulations, employment law, and data protection requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal department, including scheduling and correspondence management.
  • Assist in reviewing and analysing contracts to identify legal risks and compliance issues.
  • Support the preparation of legal briefs and summaries for management and stakeholder review.

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare and organise legal documents, contracts, agreements, and correspondence for review and execution

  • Maintain and update legal files, documents, and case management systems with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support the preparation of legal documents required for corporate transactions, litigation, and regulatory compliance matters
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external legal counsel to gather information and documentation necessary for legal proceedings
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with hospitality regulations, employment law, and data protection requirements
  • Provide administrative support to the legal department, including scheduling, meeting coordination, and correspondence management
  • Assist in reviewing and analysing contracts to identify legal risks and compliance issues
  • Support the preparation of legal briefs and summaries for management and stakeholder review
What we're looking for
  • Completion of formal education in Law, Legal Studies, or a related discipline; paralegal certification or equivalent qualification is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine legal procedures and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents
  • Proficiency in legal research methodologies and familiarity with legal databases and resources
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive legal information with integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with legal professionals and internal stakeholders
  • Prior experience in a legal department, law firm, or corporate legal environment is advantageous
