Job summary

Huey Financing Inc. is seeking a diligent Paralegal to support the Legal Department in research, document preparation, and contract review. You will handle regulatory compliance matters, coordinate with external counsel, and manage case files with high attention to detail.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in a related field and 2–3 years of paralegal experience, with strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in legal management, Political Science, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience preferred.
  • Experience in corporate, labor, contracts, or regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • In-house or law firm experience is advantageous.
  • Strong research and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research on Philippine laws, rules, regulations, jurisprudence, and government issuances relevant to the Company's operations.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, memoranda, notices, affidavits, and correspondence.
  • Organize pleadings, evidence, and case-related documents.
  • Maintain updated references on relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, routing, execution, and monitoring of contracts and other legal documents.
  • Check documents for completeness, consistency, and compliance with Company requirements.
  • Maintain an organized and updated database of contracts and legal documents.
  • Monitor contract expiration dates, renewal periods, obligations, and deadlines.
  • Assist the Legal Counsel in administrative, labor, civil, commercial, and other legal matters.
  • Coordinate with external counsel, government agencies, courts, and internal departments.

About the role

The Paralegal provides legal, research, documentation, and administrative support to the Legal Department and Management. The position assists in the preparation and review of legal documents and contracts, legal research, case documentation, regulatory compliance, and coordination with external counsel, government agencies, courts, and internal departments. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, organization, and the ability to manage multiple legal matters and deadlines.

Key responsibilities

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in legal management, Political Science, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Legal Staff, or similar position.
  • Experience in corporate law, labor law, contracts, litigation support, or regulatory compliance is preferred.
  • Experience in an in-house Legal Department or law firm is an advantage.
  • Strong legal research and documentation skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
