Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in IT operations management or technical operations within mid to large organisations.
• Experience managing IT infrastructure (servers, networks, databases, cloud platforms AWS/Azure).
• Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.
• Proven leadership and experience supervising technical staff.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience with monitoring, ticketing tools and dashboards.
• Strong communication with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Project management experience; change management awareness.
• Certifications like ITIL Foundation or CSA are advantageous; security knowledge valued.

About the role

Abenson Ventures, Inc. is seeking an IT Technical Operations Manager to join our team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimising our technical operations infrastructure. As IT Technical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day technical operations, ensuring system reliability, performance and security across our organisation. This role is strategically important to our business continuity and digital transformation objectives, bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases and cloud environments
• Monitor system performance, availability and security, implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime and optimise operational efficiency
• Lead and supervise technical operations teams, providing guidance, mentoring and performance management to ensure team excellence
• Develop and implement operational procedures, policies and best practices aligned with industry standards and organisational requirements
• Manage incident response protocols and coordinate resolution of critical technical issues to minimise business impact
• Plan and execute system maintenance, upgrades and deployments with minimal disruption to business operations
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure technical requirements are met during implementation of new systems and initiatives
• Prepare and present regular reports on operational metrics, system performance and capacity planning to senior management
• Manage IT service levels and vendor relationships to ensure quality support and cost-effectiveness
• Conduct risk assessments and implement security controls to protect organisational IT assets and data

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience in IT operations management or technical operations roles within medium to large organisations
• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure including servers, networks, databases and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or similar)
• Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL and best practices in operations management
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities with experience supervising technical staff
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
• Experience with monitoring and performance management tools, ticketing systems and operational dashboards
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders
• Project management experience and familiarity with change management processes
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Certified Systems Administrator (CSA) or cloud platform certifications are advantageous
• Knowledge of security protocols, compliance requirements and IT governance frameworks
