OPEN INNOVATION INC. is seeking a proactive System Administrator to join our technology team in Metro Manila. The role focuses on maintaining IT infrastructure, ensuring stability, security, and performance of servers, networks, and user systems.

You will manage Windows and Linux environments, virtualization, backups, and security controls, while collaborating with teams to meet business needs. A strong foundation in AD/DNS/DHCP and cloud familiarity is valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in system administration or IT infrastructure role.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux server administration and configuration.
• Experience managing routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong IT security practices including encryption and access control.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and directory services.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

About the role

OPEN INNOVATION INC. is seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to join our growing technology team. This is a full-time position based in Metro Manila, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our IT infrastructure. As System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing our network systems, servers, and ensuring that our technological backbone operates seamlessly to support the organisation's strategic objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern IT infrastructure whilst maintaining the highest standards of system reliability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, workstations, and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability

• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting technical issues to minimise downtime and service interruptions

• Managing user accounts, permissions, and access control to maintain system security and comply with organisational policies

• Implementing and maintaining security protocols, firewalls, and backup solutions to protect company data and systems

• Performing regular system updates, patches, and maintenance to ensure systems remain current and secure

• Documenting system configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain comprehensive records and knowledge management

• Providing technical support to end users and resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner

• Planning and managing IT infrastructure upgrades and capacity planning to support business growth

• Collaborating with IT teams and other departments to ensure alignment of IT services with business requirements

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of professional experience in system administration or a similar IT infrastructure role

• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including server administration and configuration

• Experience managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls

• Proficiency in virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms

• Solid understanding of IT security best practices, including encryption, user authentication, and data protection

• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions

• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other directory services

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical staff

• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration, or equivalent qualifications are preferred

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) or cloud infrastructure management is advantageous
