Job summary

Phil-Data Business Systems, Inc. is seeking an IT Support specialist to diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems. You will provide technical assistance for Windows desktops and servers and manage software installation, drivers, and virus removal.

The role requires at least 1 year of IT support experience, overtime readiness, and onsite work at Mactan International Airport with a shifting schedule. This is a 1-year renewable project-based position in Cebu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in CS/IT or Engineering.
• At least 1 year of related IT Support experience.
• Willing to work overtime and on-site at Mactan International airport with shifting schedule.
• Open to Project Based Employment 1 year renewable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems.
• Provide technical support for Windows desktops and servers.
• Install or reinstall software (licensed and standard apps).
• Configure software drivers for peripherals and devices.
• Perform virus scanning and removal; basic hardware diagnostics.
• Restore files from backup system when necessary; coordinate warranty claims or repairs.
• Handle IMAC (Install, Move, Add & Change) tasks as part of scope.
• Submit documentation on unit location and repair status; conduct daily activity checklist.

Job description:

IT Support is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintenance, troubleshooting of hardware, software and network - related problems and checking of equipment upgrades.

• Technical support with regards to Windows desktop operating system and servers
• Network Client connectivity Windows platform
• Software installation or re-installation (licensed software only and Client’s standard software)
• Configuration of software drivers of peripheral items
• Virus Scanning and removal
• Basic diagnostics and troubleshooting of hardware defects
• Restoration of files from Backup System when necessary
• Replacement of defective parts o Coordinate warranty claims, repair, or replacement for those units still under warranty with other suppliers o Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities with the appropriate vendor maintenance provide and end-user
• Submit documentation report on the current location and status of the unit or hardware that is being repaired
• IMAC (Install, Move, Add & Change) is included in the scope of work
• Conducting and consolidating daily activity checklist.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
• At least 1 year of related experience as IT Support
• The DIT Support is expected to work with overtime
• Amenable to work in Mactan International airport, Shifting Schedule and Full-time onsite
• Open to work on a Project Based Employment 1yr RENEWABLE
