About the role
The Talent Acquisition and Development Officer drive the end-to-end recruitment, training compliance, performance management, and organizational development strategies across all business units. This role bridges the gap between high-volume front-of-house (FOH) staffing and specialized back-of-house (BOH) commissary, supply chain, and corporate catering recruitment. Additionally, this role serves as the critical HR bridge to food safety, partnering directly with the Technical Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure 100% training compliance, pristine training records, and total audit-readiness across all production lines and retail storefronts.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate specialized hiring across diverse business arms: Café Branches, Central Commissary & Catering, Supply Chain, Wholesale and Head Office
Collaboratively forecast workforce gaps alongside Store Managers and Plant Superintendents to prevent critical operational shortfalls during peak seasons
Design and spearhead localized orientation frameworks ensuring all new hires absorb brand philosophy, hospitality expectations, and food handling protocols
Translate food safety and operational protocols into interactive learning modules for front-line employees
Systematically track, schedule, and execute regular refresher training on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and standard sanitation procedures (SSOP)
Architect and maintain meticulous, audit-ready physical and digital training files and witness during external municipality sanitary inspections, FDA reviews, or third-party safety audits
Implement performance review systems tracking performance standards unique to each department
Oversee mid-year and annual appraisal pipelines, guaranteeing field managers deliver regular, fair, and documented feedback
Intervene with tailored Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) or corrective micro-training when performance evaluations indicate a dip in compliance, sanitation, or service delivery metrics
Design career pathing frameworks enabling long-serving hourly store or factory crew to step into Store Manager, Line Supervisor, or Head Office support roles
Instructional Design: Build, write, and develop customs, structured training modules, course materials, manuals, and practical assessments tailored to specific operations.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of total experience in human resources, with at least 1 to 2 years in a dedicated supervisory, team-lead, or senior specialist role.
Must feature solid experience working within a multi-branch cafe, casual dining restaurant chain, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), or food manufacturing environment.
Proven capability to write, build, and deploy training modules, slide decks, operational manuals, and employee assessment tests from scratch.
Strong command of Canva, MS PowerPoint, or instructional design tools for creating engaging training materials. Proficient in MS Excel or Google Sheets for compiling HR reports and metrics tracking.
Foundational, practical understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP principles.
