Private Advertiser in Meycauayan, Bulacan is seeking a reliable HR Officer to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, focusing on Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, preliminary recruitment, and HR administration.
The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Manager, handling employee records, payroll-related tasks, onboarding coordination, and confidential HR processes with integrity and attention to detail.
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented HR Officer to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, with primary responsibilities in Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, preliminary recruitment, and HR administration.
The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Manager in managing employee records, attendance and benefits concerns, recruitment activities, employee relations matters, disciplinary documentation, and other HR programs and initiatives.
The position requires confidentiality, accuracy, good judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive employee matters professionally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer and monitor employee compensation and benefits.
Payroll preparation, checking, and verification of attendance, leave, overtime, undertime, and other payroll-related information.
Payroll processing and data management using Sprout Payroll.
Encode, review, and validate employee payroll information and payroll adjustments in Sprout Payroll.
Assist in checking payroll calculations, deductions, allowances, overtime, absences, tardiness, and other payroll-related adjustments.
Maintaining accurate employee compensation and benefits records.
Assist employees with inquiries concerning salary, government-mandated benefits, leave, and other HR-related concerns.
Processing and monitoring of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other statutory requirements.
Coordinate with Finance/Payroll regarding payroll discrepancies and employee compensation concerns.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of C&B and payroll-related records.
B. Employee Relations & Discipline
Assist the HR Manager in handling employee relations and workplace concerns.
Prepare and coordinate Notice to Explain (NTE) and other HR/disciplinary documents based on approved procedures and the direction of the HR Manager.
Assist in documenting employee incidents, explanations, meetings, and other employee relations matters.
Maintain confidential and organized disciplinary records.
Coordinate with department heads and employees regarding HR-related concerns.
Assist in ensuring that HR processes and documentation are properly implemented and maintained.
Escalate sensitive or significant employee relations matters to the HR Manager for appropriate action.
C. Recruitment & Staffing
Administer preliminary recruitment activities and manpower requirements.
Post job vacancies through appropriate recruitment channels.
Screen resumes and applications based on approved job requirements.
Conduct initial/preliminary interviews and applicant screening.
Coordinate interview schedules with applicants and hiring managers.
Maintain and update the applicant database and recruitment tracker.
Endorse qualified candidates to the HR Manager and/or hiring department for further assessment.
Assist in pre-employment requirements and onboarding coordination.
D. HR Administration
Maintain accurate and updated employee 201 files and HR records.
Assist in preparation of HR reports, trackers, and documentation.
Monitor employee attendance and other HR-related records.
Assist in the implementation of company HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Assist the HR Manager in employee onboarding, performance evaluation, training, and other HR initiatives.
Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of employee information and records.
Perform other HR-related duties that may be reasonably assigned by the HR Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 1-2 years of relevant HR experience is preferred.
Experience in Compensation & Benefits, payroll administration, employee relations, recruitment, or general HR operations is an advantage.
Working knowledge of Sprout Payroll is preferred.
Knowledge of basic Philippine labor standards and statutory benefits is an advantage.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Detail-oriented and capable of handling confidential employee and payroll information.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Able to work independently and effectively with the HR Manager and other departments.
Willing to work onsite in Meycauayan, Bulacan.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience using Sprout Payroll for payroll processing and employee data management.
Experience preparing payroll adjustments and validating attendance and payroll inputs.
Familiarity with SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG employer processes.
Experience preparing HR documents such as NTEs, memoranda, employee notices, and HR reports.
Experience in recruitment, applicant screening, and preliminary interviews.
Background in manufacturing or a fast-paced work environment is an advantage.
