About the role

We are seeking an HR Officer to join our Human Resources team in a full-time position based in Lumbia Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. This is a strategic role that will support the day-to-day operations of our HR department and contribute to the development of our people and organisational culture. As an HR Officer, you will serve as a key point of contact for employees and management, ensuring that our Human Resources processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company values. This role is essential in maintaining a positive work environment and supporting the growth and retention of our talented workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Administering and maintaining accurate employee records, including personnel files, attendance records, and leave management

• Processing recruitment activities including job postings, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and conducting initial candidate assessments

• Supporting the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation coordination and new starter documentation

• Assisting with payroll administration, including data entry, verification of employee information, and coordination with payroll systems

• Managing employee relations matters, including handling queries and concerns from staff members in a confidential and professional manner

• Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

• Coordinating staff training and development initiatives aligned with company objectives

• Assisting with compliance-related activities, including employment law requirements and workplace safety standards

• Maintaining HR databases and ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality

• Supporting performance management processes and annual appraisal cycles

• Providing general administrative support to the HR department and senior management

What we’re looking for

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

• Proven experience working in an HR role, ideally within a food and beverage or hospitality environment

• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR compliance requirements applicable in the Philippines

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR management software systems

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation

• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data management

• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Familiarity with recruitment best practices and employee relations management
