About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate HR Employee Relations Officer to join our Human Resources team in Legazpi City, Albay. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining positive employee relations and fostering a healthy workplace culture. As an HR Employee Relations Officer, you will be instrumental in bridging communications between management and employees, resolving workplace concerns, and ensuring that all team members feel valued and supported. This role is essential to our company's mission of creating an engaged and motivated workforce.
Key responsibilities
- Handling employee grievances, complaints and concerns through fair, impartial and confidential processes, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up
- Providing guidance and support to employees regarding workplace policies, procedures and their rights and responsibilities
- Conducting workplace investigations into disciplinary matters and disputes, documenting findings and recommending appropriate actions
- Supporting management in the implementation of disciplinary procedures whilst ensuring compliance with employment law and company policy
- Developing and delivering employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture and enhance team morale
- Organising and facilitating employee relations activities, events and communication forums
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and documentation related to grievances, disciplinary actions and other employment matters
- Collaborating with management to identify and address workplace issues, trends and concerns
- Providing coaching and advice to line managers on employee relations matters, including performance management and conduct issues
- Assisting with the development and communication of HR policies and procedures
- Monitoring and reporting on employee relations metrics and workplace climate
What we're looking for
- A qualification in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR Employee Relations role or similar position within Human Resources
- Strong knowledge of employment law, labour regulations and workplace compliance relevant to the Philippines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate HR concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Exceptional interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with a calm, empathetic and impartial approach to workplace disputes
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to build positive relationships across all organisational levels
- Preferred: Experience in employee engagement and culture-building initiatives
- Preferred: Familiarity with industrial relations and collective bargaining processes
