Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants, and other assigned housekeeping staff.
Assign work areas and tasks based on occupancy, operational requirements, and staff availability.
Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, and overall team performance.
Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to housekeeping staff.
Motivate team members and promote teamwork and a positive working environment.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and assigned facilities to ensure cleanliness and proper presentation.
Ensure all housekeeping tasks are completed according to established standards and procedures.
Conduct regular quality checks and immediately address cleaning or maintenance issues.
Ensure proper handling and use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, linens, and supplies.
Report maintenance defects and follow up to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
Respond professionally and promptly to guest requests, concerns, and housekeeping-related issues.
Coordinate with other departments to address guest needs and special requests.
Ensure guest rooms are prepared according to required standards and within established turnaround times.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with guests.
Conduct team briefings and communicate daily assignments, priorities, special requests, and operational updates.
Monitor room status and coordinate with Front Office regarding room readiness and priority rooms.
Assist in managing housekeeping supplies, linen, amenities, and equipment.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or unusual consumption to the supervisor.
Ensure proper storage and organization of housekeeping materials and equipment.
Ensure team members follow company policies, housekeeping procedures, and health and safety standards.
Promote safe working practices when handling cleaning chemicals, machinery, and housekeeping equipment.
Report accidents, incidents, hazards, lost-and-found items, and other irregularities immediately.
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), where required.
Support environmental and sustainability practices within the housekeeping department.
Complete daily housekeeping checklists, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
Record and report room discrepancies, damages, lost-and-found items, and maintenance concerns.
Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager with staff scheduling and manpower allocation when required.
Provide feedback regarding employee performance, training needs, and operational concerns.
Assist with departmental inventories and regular stock counts.
