Servicio Filipino, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Staff Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team, assign daily tasks based on occupancy and workload, conduct roll calls and briefings, monitor attendance and grooming, and provide coaching to raise quality and productivity.
The role emphasizes cleaning quality, safety, guest service, inventory of supplies and equipment, coordination with Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance and Security, plus timely reporting and training to sustain high standards
Supervise, assign, and monitor the daily activities of housekeeping attendants and other housekeeping personnel.
Prepare and distribute daily work assignments based on occupancy, workload, and operational requirements.
Conduct roll calls, briefings, and daily updates with housekeeping staff.
Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, grooming, and work performance.
Provide coaching and guidance to employees to improve work quality and productivity.
Report employee performance issues, violations, and attendance concerns to the Housekeeping Manager.
Inspect guest rooms, restrooms, public areas, offices, and other assigned areas to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance.
Conduct regular inspections and ensure that housekeeping standards are consistently met.
Check rooms after cleaning and ensure they are properly prepared before being released for occupancy.
Ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed for floors, windows, furniture, fixtures, bathrooms, and other facilities.
Identify and report maintenance issues, damages, defects, or safety hazards immediately.
Respond professionally to guest requests, concerns, and housekeeping-related complaints.
Coordinate with other departments to resolve guest concerns promptly.
Ensure special requests, VIP room requirements, and other housekeeping arrangements are properly attended to.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy when dealing with guests.
Monitor the availability and proper use of cleaning supplies, chemicals, linens, amenities, and housekeeping equipment.
Maintain proper inventory and report shortages or damaged items.
Ensure housekeeping equipment is used correctly and safely.
Monitor proper storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Prevent unnecessary waste and misuse of company resources.
Ensure employees follow proper safety and sanitation procedures.
Ensure proper handling, labeling, storage, and disposal of cleaning chemicals.
Conduct regular checks for hazards such as wet floors, damaged equipment, electrical concerns, and other unsafe conditions.
Report accidents, incidents, and safety concerns immediately to management.
Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and sanitation policies.
Coordinate closely with Front Office regarding room status, room readiness, early check-ins, late check-outs, and special guest requirements.
Coordinate with Engineering/Maintenance regarding room defects and repair requirements.
Coordinate with Security regarding lost and found items, incidents, and safety concerns.
Communicate with management regarding operational concerns, staffing requirements, and housekeeping performance.
Ensure all lost and found items are properly documented, secured, and endorsed according to company procedures.
Maintain accurate records of recovered items.
Coordinate with Security and management regarding valuable or sensitive items.
Prepare daily housekeeping reports, room inspection reports, attendance records, supply requests, and other required documentation.
Monitor room status and report discrepancies to the appropriate department.
Maintain accurate records of linen, supplies, equipment, damages, and maintenance concerns.
Submit incident reports when necessary.
Assist in the orientation and training of newly hired housekeeping employees.
Demonstrate proper cleaning techniques, equipment handling, guest service, and safety procedures.
Conduct on-the-job coaching and performance monitoring.
Promote teamwork, discipline, professionalism, and good work ethics within the department.
Assist the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Manager in maintaining efficient department operations.
Participate in departmental meetings and operational planning.
Assist during special events, high-occupancy periods, and other operational requirements.
Perform other related duties that may reasonably be assigned by management.
