One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suites is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to organize daily staffing, assign room attendants, and ensure smooth operations in the hotel. You will brief the team on daily activities and address issues promptly.
You will enforce uniform and name tag standards, oversee VIP room readiness, maintain inventory, and safeguard guest belongings. Regularly review room allocations, store areas, and cleaning procedures to sustain high standards of safety,
Supervises daily staffing schedules and work assignments to achieve smooth and efficient operation. Designates room assignments of each Room Attendant.
Briefs the staff on the activities of the day, important information and other concerns. Analyse and provide solution to issues brought to his attention. Ensures that the employees are wearing the prescribed uniform complete with name tags.
Ascertains that all employees in the Housekeeping Department are aware of the Hotel’s emergency, safety and pest control procedures
Reviews computer print-out and room allocations obtained from the Housekeeping Coordinator for proper implementation.
Carries out the following routine assignments:
i. Sees to it that Room Attendants empty and clean the vacuum cleaners and other cleaning tools before going off duty.
ii. Oversees Room Attendants while cleaning guestrooms to see if proper and correct procedures are followed.
iii. Inspects all VIP rooms and blocked rooms prior to guests’ arrival.
iv. Ensures that cleaning of VIP’s and special accounts–allocated rooms for the day is given priority.
Checks status of long staying guestrooms, out-of-order rooms and all occupied and turned down rooms. Inspects all vacant rooms at random to counter check the work of the Room Attendants.
Inspects out all amenities and guest supplies to find out if complete and according to approved standards.
Keeps all linen and supply cabinets clean and adequately stocked.
Replenishes rooms’ mini bars. Supervises and assists in the mini-bar operation. Conducts monthly mini-bar inventory taking.
Inspects the hallway to see if there are unnecessary obstructions like service trolleys, trays, used linens, etc. and places these items back to the service area when no longer needed.
Ensures safety of guests’ belongings inside the room. Conducts regular inspections of all areas of the Hotel for security, cleanliness and maintenance purposes. Reports immediately to the Executive Housekeeper any problem or issue of significance and takes corrective actions where appropriate or suggests possible alternative courses of action.
Regularly ascertains that the storeroom is amply stocked with cleaning materials, standard room provisions, and equipment. Avoids wasteful consumption of cleaning solutions by checking if proper cleaning procedures are followed by subordinates. Handles requisition of these materials, provisions and equipment.
Collects floor master keys at the end of the day. Makes sure all master keys are accounted for and returned to the authorized custodian.
Reviews Room Attendant’s reports and floor logbooks for necessary action.
Performs such other related functions as may be assigned by the Assistant Executive Housekeeper from time to time.
