Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee daily operations of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house functions. You will schedule staff, manage minibar procedures, ensure hygiene standards, and supervise Room Attendants to uphold service quality.

You will train the team, coordinate with Maintenance for repairs, respond to guest requests promptly, and enforce safety regulations and hotel policies across the department.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Optimizes work productivity by effectively scheduling and allocating all available resources (staff, material) under his/her control.
• Ensures constant adherence to organizational standards in hygiene, cleanliness and maintenance of equipment, fitting and fixtures of the area under his/her control
• Ensures guest requirements and requests are promptly and efficiently responded to, to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Ensures cost effectiveness of resources (material, staff) under his/her control to achieve optimum profitability.
• Responsible for effective mini bar management as per organization’s standards.
• Ensures quality of all hotel uniform, linen and control issues, returns and alterations.
• Attends and provides training on fire safety & security systems.
• Creates, establishes and maintains a conducive work environment whereby training can be conducted to ensure multifunctionality and development of staff. Guides and trains staff on development of correct operational skills
• Responsible for smooth operation of the blocks assigned & supervision of Room Attendants

• Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
• Carry out lost and found procedures.
• Report maintenance issues to Maintenance/Engineering Department.
• Assist Housekeeping Manager with training requirements.
• Represent the needs of the team to others in the hotel.
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
