Job Opening: Heavy-Duty Fleet & Transport Coordinator
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly capable Heavy-Duty Fleet & Transport Coordinator to bridge the gap between day-to-day transportation logistics, diesel shop maintenance, and financial performance. In this role, you will be responsible for a triple mandate: optimizing route dispatching for our commercial truck fleet, managing preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime, and utilizing data-driven analytics to maximize fleet profitability, control fuel costs, and optimize cost-per-kilometer metrics.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; or a TESDA National Certificate (NC II or NC III) in Automotive Servicing paired with equivalent analytical experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of dual experience in heavy-duty commercial truck dispatching, logistics transport coordination, or fleet analytics within the Philippine logistics, hauling, or freight forwarding industry.
- Data & Analytics Skills: Proficient in data-driven decision-making with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas) or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to analyze operational costs and fleet asset utilization.
- Logistics & Coordination Skills: Proven expertise in Philippine freight routing (e.g., NLEX, SLEX, provincial delivery networks), load scheduling, multi-stop dispatching, and managing driver trip limits.
- Mechanical Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of commercial heavy-duty trucks, prime movers, and diesel engines commonly used in local operations (e.g., Isuzu, Fuso, Hino, Scania, Sinotruk).
- Systems & GPS Technology: Experienced working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and GPS/Telematics platforms (e.g., WebTrack, Tramigo, or local equivalents) to monitor fuel consumption, route efficiency, and driver behavior logs.
- Fleet Profitability & Cost Analytics: Track, analyze, and report on key financial performance metrics including Cost-per-Kilometer (CPK), revenue per truck, asset utilization rates, and overall return on investment (ROI) per unit.
- Fuel & Expense Optimization: Monitor telematics data to detect fuel siphoning, excessive idling, and inefficient driving habits; implement data-backed corrections to lower total fleet fuel spend.
- Transport Coordination & Routing: Schedule, dispatch, and coordinate daily freight movements for tractor-trailers, optimizing delivery routes across standard arterial roads while navigating local truck ban windows and minimizing empty backhaul kilometers.
- Driver & Load Management: Act as the primary operational point of contact for commercial truck drivers and helpers (pahinante), managing trip schedules, route delays, and load assignment adjustments in real time.
- Data-Backed PM Integration: Dynamically schedule routine preventative maintenance (PMs) based on mileage and wear-and-tear data to prevent catastrophic mechanical failures while maintaining high vehicle uptime.
- LTO & LTFRB Safety Compliance: Ensure all active fleet units have updated LTO Registration (OR/CR), valid LTFRB franchises/CPC (Certificate of Public Convenience), and meet all statutory annual emission and roadworthiness inspections.
- Over-the-Road Support: Spearhead critical roadside breakdown mitigation along major expressways and provincial highways, combining logistical rerouting of delayed freight with rapid mechanical dispatch or coordination with local towing services.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Prior experience establishing or managing a Fleet Cost/Profitability Dashboard.
- Holding an active, clean Professional Driver's License with appropriate DL Codes CE/CE1 (formerly Restriction Codes 3 and 8) to assist with moving unladen assets on-site when required.
