A Food Attendant is responsible for providing customer service in restaurants, cafeterias, or other food establishments. Their role typically involves assisting with food orders, ensuring cleanliness, and delivering a pleasant dining experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner; take food and drink orders, answer questions about the menu, and provide recommendations; ensure customer satisfaction throughout their meal, resolving any complaints or issues promptly.
- Food Preparation and Handling: Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner; assist in food preparation or the setting up of food stations, when necessary; ensure proper food presentation and portion sizes.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance: Keep dining areas clean and well-organized, including clearing tables and wiping down surfaces; ensure utensils, plates, and condiments are stocked and clean; assist in maintaining hygiene standards in food service areas.
- Experience: Prior experience in a customer service or food service role is often preferred but not always required.
