We are seeking a highly technical and customer-focused Energy Storage After-Sales Engineer to join our service team. You will be responsible for on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of our energy storage products, ensuring rapid resolution of technical issues and superior customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for energy storage systems (batteries, BMS, PCS, and EMS).
- Perform system commissioning, firmware upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software faults (e.g., communication errors, cell voltage imbalance, thermal management issues).
- Document all service activities, including failure analysis, repair logs, and field service reports.
- Train customers and local partners on proper system operation, safety procedures, and basic maintenance.
- Collect and report product failure data to the R&D and quality teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate logistics for replacement components.
- Respond to emergency service calls within agreed SLAs (e.g., 24/48-hour response).
- Support the sales team by providing pre-sales technical input on installation and serviceability.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of field service, commissioning, or maintenance experience with battery storage, inverters, UPS, or solar PV systems.
- Familiar with lithium-ion battery characteristics (voltage, current, temperature, SOC, SOH).
- Experience with CAN bus, RS485, Modbus, or other industrial communication protocols.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with multimeters, insulation testers, and battery diagnostic tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, customer communication, and documentation skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift equipment (up to 25 kg), work at heights, and use PPE.
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50-75%) to customer sites.
- Language: Fluent in English (additional local languages a plus).
- Willing to render overtime work on Saturdays as business needs.
- Fresh graduates with a research study, thesis, or other relevant academic experience related to solar technology are encouraged to apply.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Certification in battery safety (e.g., NFPA 70E, lithium-ion battery handling).
- Experience with BESS containerized systems (utility-scale).
- Knowledge of grid codes and protection relay settings.
- Familiarity with remote monitoring platforms (e.g., IoT-based EMS portals).
- Valid driver's license and passport
