Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking an Account Officer for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to meet loan targets while maintaining profitability and sound credit quality. The role involves field visits, assessing applicants, initiating credits and collections, coordinating with loan teams, and updating files to ensure proper processing and booking.

Strong selling, communication, and customer service skills are essential, along with willingness to work on-site and in the field almost daily.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any four-year or five-year degree course.
• Good selling, communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to do field work / working on the field almost daily.
• Basic mathematical knowledge.
• Familiar with word processing & spreadsheets.
• Fieldwork and sales experience in Microfinance is an advantage.
• Preferably able to drive a motorcycle.

Responsibilities

• Actively solicit microfinance loan accounts by field visits.
• Analyze loan applicants to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Initiate credit and collection activities to ensure quality.
• Coordinate with officers/units related to processing and servicing loans.
• Review and update customer loan files and loan agreements for credit processing.
• Execute sales and marketing activities to achieve volume targets.
