Job summary

General Metal Container Corporation of the Philippines (GEMECO) is seeking an experienced Plant Supervisor to oversee the installation and startup of packaging machinery, ensure safety procedures, and maintain efficiency of equipment at all times.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree and has at least five years of supervisory experience, with the ability to read machine manuals and draw diagrams. Excellent teamwork and coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical fields.
• Highly technical with knowledge of machinery, equipment and design.
• Ability to read machine manuals and draw diagrams.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills and coordination.

• Supervising installation and initial start up of machines and equipment.
• Ensuring that all safety procedures are in place and followed by workers.

GEMECO is a packaging company engaged in the manufacture of tin cans for infant dietetics, beverages, meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, and other food products.

GEMECO’s customers include: Angel Milk, Alaska Milk, 555 Sardines, Argentina Corned Beef, Century Tuna, Ligo Sardines, Purefoods Hormel - San Miguel, Swift, Virginia Foods, and Youngstown.

Responsibilities

• Supervising installation and initial start up of machines and equipment

Requirements

• Candidate must be an Engineering graduate preferably in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or its equivalent


• Highly technical - knowledgeable in machineries, equipment and design.


• Able to read machine manuals and draw machine diagrams


• With at least 5 years of experience in supervisory function


• Team player, with good interpersonal skills and proper coordination
