GEMECO, a packaging company in Quezon City, is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate holds an Accountancy degree (CPA advantageous) with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, and strong SAP and MS Excel skills. Leadership and collaboration with other departments are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accountancy or CPA advantage.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory role with general accounting functions.
• Highly proficient in SAP and MS Excel.
• Comprehensive understanding of standards on accounting reports, tax laws, and government requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, payroll and taxation.
• Monitors month-end and year-end closing activities and documentation.
• Coordinates with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
• Maintains and provides improvement on internal controls and accounting procedures.

The Accounting Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the general accounting department to ensure timely processing of transactions, accuracy in accounting/ financial reporting and compliance with company and government regulations.

• Supervises daily accounting functions which includes but not limited to accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, payroll and taxation.
• Ensures compliance with tax regulations, prepares reports/ audit requirements and actively participates in audits
• Monitors month-end and year-end closing activities and documentations
• Coordinates with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies
• Maintains and provides improvement on internal controls and accounting procedures

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accountancy, CPA is an advantage
• At least 3 years in a supervisory role with extensive knowledge in handling general accounting functions
• Highly proficient in SAP and MS Excel
• Comprehensive understanding of standards on accounting reports, tax laws, and government requirements
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
