Job summary

GEMECO in Quezon City, Philippines, invites qualified engineers to join its packaging operations. The role focuses on supervising operators and machinists, planning parts requests, and ensuring timely supply while upholding product quality.

You will lead a safety-conscious team, optimize machine setup and performance, and collaborate with maintenance to keep production running smoothly. A Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics engineering degree and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics, technical drawing, schematics and CAD.
• Experience with machine shop machinery (lathe, grinder, milling) and equipment (break press, air gauge).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and trains the operators/machinists in their assigned duties and machines.
• Monitors the schedule of requested parts and ensures availability on the specified timeline.
• Ensures the quality of produced parts follows required specifications.
• Fosters a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
• Ensures efficiency, proper set-up and good running conditions of all machines.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and trains the operators/ machinists in their assigned duties and machines

• Monitors the record and plans the schedule of requested parts and ensures its availability on the specified timeline

• Assures that the quality of the parts produced and fabricated follows required specifications

• Fosters a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment

• Ensures efficiency, proper set-up and good running conditions of all the machines

Requirements

• Candidate must be an Engineering graduate in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical or its equivalent

• Knowledgeable in shop mathematics, technical drawing, schematics and computer-aided design

• Knowledgeable in different machine shop machineries - lathe, grinder, milling, etc. and in different equipments - break press, air gauge, etc.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
