Job summary

GEMECO is a packaging company engaged in the manufacture of tin cans for infant dietetics, beverages, meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, and other food products. You will be responsible for the ordering of materials and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

The role emphasizes accuracy in inspecting received goods and adherence to specifications while maintaining strong communication with vendors to support efficient production.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any business course.
• Experience related to purchasing is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail oriented, highly organized and capable of time management.
• Highly proficient in computer application.

Responsibilities

GEMECO’s customers include: Angel Milk, Alaska Milk, 555 Sardines, Argentina Corned Beef, Century Tuna, Ligo Sardines, Purefoods Hormel - San Miguel, Swift, Virginia Foods, and Youngstown.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the ordering of materials, supplies, and/or equipment and follow through with suppliers on shipment and delivery. He/she selects suppliers, places orders and arranges service contracts; follows up orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on expected dates; Inspects products received for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications.

Requirements

• Graduate of any business course
• Experience related to purchasing is an advantage
• Highly proficient in computer application
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Detail oriented, highly organized and capable of time management
