Nextbank is seeking a Disbursement Finance Associate to support day-to-day accounting and finance operations in the Philippines. You will handle accounts payable, disbursements, cash management, payroll, and tax compliance with accuracy and adherence to policies.
The role requires a degree in accounting/finance and 1–2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BIR rules, Xero, and online banking are preferred.
The Disbursement Finance Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of Nextbank and Swiftpay, with a primary focus on accounts payable, disbursements, cash management, tax compliance, payroll processing, and financial recordkeeping. The role ensures that accounting transactions are accurately recorded, properly supported, reviewed, and processed in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and applicable tax and accounting regulations. The Disbursement Finance Associate will also assist in maintaining audit-ready financial records, preparing tax schedules and reports, and supporting various finance-related operational requirements.
Process accounts payable transactions, including the verification, recording, and monitoring of supplier invoices and outstanding obligations
Review invoices and supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, proper approvals, and compliance with company policies
Monitor supplier balances and payment schedules to ensure obligations are settled accurately and on time
Prepare and process disbursements to ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors, service providers, employees, and other stakeholders
Process employee reimbursements, ensuring that all claims are properly supported and approved
Process cash advances and review liquidation reports for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation
Process payroll and coordinate with relevant personnel to ensure accurate and timely payroll disbursement
Record and journalize cash movements, including cash receipts, disbursements, transfers, and other cash-related transactions
Prepare tax schedules and supporting documents for Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT), Withholding VAT, Final Withholding Tax, Quarterly VAT Purchases Schedules, and Summary Alphalist of Withholding Taxes (SAWT)
Prepare and maintain comprehensive expense schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Preferably with 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience; fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds may also be considered
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and BIR compliance is an advantage
Experience with BIR eFPS and online banking platforms is preferred
Experience using Xero Accounting Software is an advantage
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions
Good organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information with discretion
