Job summary

Nextbank is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a 6 months fixed-term contract in the Philippines. You will join Nextbank Software with teams in the Philippines and Poland, working on a cloud-based core banking platform and related fintech solutions.

You will build server-side and frontend features, engage in code reviews, and own components within an agile, cross-functional team. Candidates should have strong Java, SQL, Spring, and PostgreSQL skills and be open to learning new frameworks.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of working experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java, SQL and Spring Framework.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience in Git version control.
• Knowledge of Design Patterns.
• Experience working in cross-disciplinary Agile teams.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Code Review, TDD and continuous improvement.

Nextbank is Looking for an Senior Java Developer to join our team for a (6 Months Fixed Term Contract), which is disrupting the FinTech and Regtech industries in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. As an Senior Java Developer at Nextbank Software, you will work with highly passionate, ambitious, and talented teams in the Philippines and Poland. You will be exposed to the latest trends and technologies used in banking and finance, including micro-services, machine learning, AI, and cloud computing.

Key responsibilities

• Building & maintaining server-side as well as front-end features
• Working closely with frontend & backend engineers
• Collaborating in code review process
• Taking ownership over parts of an application and collaborating on global issues

Key expectations

• At least 5 years of working experience
