Job summary

Nextbank is seeking a Disbursement Finance Associate to support day-to-day accounting and finance operations in the Philippines. You will handle accounts payable, disbursements, cash management, payroll, and tax compliance with accuracy and adherence to policies.

The role requires a degree in accounting/finance and 1–2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BIR rules, Xero, and online banking are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience; fresh grads with strong academics may be considered.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and BIR compliance is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, verify and record supplier invoices.
• Review invoices for accuracy, approvals, and policy compliance.
• Monitor supplier balances and payment schedules to ensure timeliness.
• Prepare and process disbursements to vendors, employees, and others.
• Process employee reimbursements and cash advances with proper documentation.
• Process payroll and coordinate timely payroll disbursements.
• Record and journalize cash movements and related transactions.
• Prepare tax schedules for EWT, VAT withholding, SAWT, and related reports.
• Maintain comprehensive expense schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
