Job summary

Fairmont Makati is seeking a seasoned Stewarding leader to oversee daily operations, drive luxury service standards, and develop a high-performing Stewarding team in Manila’s prestigious Makati district.

The candidate will ensure top hygiene, sanitation, and cost-control practices while managing budgets and sustainability initiatives for the hotel’s Stewarding Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Stewarding leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, food safety, HACCP, and stewarding operations; proficient in Microsoft Office and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily Stewarding operations, ensuring impeccable standards of cleanliness, sanitation, hygiene, and kitchen readiness.
• Leads and develops the Stewarding team, ensuring adherence to luxury service, health and safety, and hotel standards.
• Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation through regular inspections and meticulous quality controls
• Oversee the inventory, storage, care, and presentation of china, glassware, cutlery, and operating supplies and equipment
• Conduct regular inventories, monitor breakage trends, and implement effective cost-control and loss-prevention measures
• Manage the Stewarding Department’s budget, payroll, operating expenses, and overall financial performance.
• Champion responsible waste-management practices and sustainability initiatives in alignment with the property’s environmental commitments.
• Maintain flexible availability to support operational requirements and ensure seamless service delivery.
