Job summary

InfiniVAN Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a seasoned Fiber Optic Network Design Engineer to craft detailed network designs, perform site surveys, and collaborate with project teams to ensure successful delivery. The role demands hands-on engineering work, documentation, and adherence to industry standards.

Flexibility to work overtime and deployment to various project sites is expected. You will leverage AutoCAD, GIS, and fiber planning tools to optimize capacity and reliability across fiber

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
• Proven experience in fiber optic network design and engineering.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, GIS tools, and Fiber Optic Planning Tools.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic technology, including splicing and termination.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work overtime and be deployed to different project sites.
• CFOT certification or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for fiber optic networks including route planning and equipment selection.
• Prepare engineering documentation such as construction drawings, splice plans, and BOM.
• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and technical assessments to optimize network performance.
• Coordinate with project managers, field technicians, and stakeholders for successful delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety guidelines.
• Evaluate cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Design upgrades to existing networks to enhance capacity and resilience.
• Provide technical support for network design and implementation issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or performance.Design upgrades for existing fiber networks to enhance capacity and reliability.
• Provide technical support for resolving network design and implementation issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in fiber optic network design and engineering.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS tools, Fiber Optic Planning Tools).
• Strong understanding of fiber optic technology, including splicing, termination, and network architecture.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with FTTx (Fiber-to-the-x) design and implementation.
• Strong Communication Skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Willing to be deployed in different project site/s.
• Certifications such as CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) or equivalent is a plus.
