Job Summary:
A Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the primary point of contact for customers seeking assistance with products, services, or general inquiries. The CSR is responsible for delivering exceptional service by responding to customer questions, troubleshooting issues, handling complaints, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Inquiries: Answer incoming calls, emails, or messages from customers and provide accurate information about products, services, policies, or procedures.
- Issue Resolution: Listen to customer concerns, investigate complaints, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Escalate complex issues to senior staff when needed.
- Order Management: Process orders, returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies. Ensure that customer transactions are handled accurately.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, services, and promotions to effectively assist customers and provide recommendations.
- Customer Support: Offer post-purchase support, including troubleshooting, addressing warranty issues, and providing guidance on product usage.
- Complaint Handling: Effectively manage and resolve customer complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction and mitigating negative feedback.
- Record-Keeping: Document customer interactions, update accounts, and maintain accurate records of inquiries, issues, resolutions, and customer feedback.
- Customer Retention: Build positive relationships with customers by providing helpful, friendly, and professional service, and promote loyalty programs or additional products/services when appropriate.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, technical support, logistics) to ensure customer issues are resolved and the customer experience is seamless.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in business, communications, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred but not always required.
