Job summary

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is seeking a professional to manage third-party collection agencies to ensure targets are met while complying with bank and regulator requirements.

Responsibilities include monitoring agents, training staff, endorsing accounts, managing contracts and templates, selecting new agencies, and approving repayment/workout actions. This role is based in Makati, Philippines and offers a clear career path within the collection management team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4 year Bachelor's/College Degree, preferably related to Business, Banking or Finance.
• With extensive experience in handling collection-related job and supervising people, service sales, or agency management.
• Knowledge in bank products such as loans, insurance, and deposits.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, strategic and analytical skills, numeracy, communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors that third-party agents carry out agreed plans and strategies to achieve collection targets.
• Sleeves and/or spearheads training of subordinates (in-house and agency personnel).
• Reviews, endorses and/or approves Endorsement/re-endorsement or pull-out of accounts to third party providers.
• Reviews guidelines, work instructions, contracts, and communication templates related to agency management.
• Oversees affiliation or disaffiliation of new Collection Agencies.
• Prepares requests to secure approval for repayment, workout, extensions, waivers and discounts, suspension of collection/legal action.
• Performs, supervises and/or approves other tasks for the Agency Management Team.
• Reviews and evaluates performance of third-party providers.

This position is primarily responsible for the management of third-party collection agencies to ensure that set collection targets are met while adhering to the Bank and its regulators’ compliance requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors that third-party agents carry out agreed plans and strategies in order to achieve the collection targets for endorsed accounts.
• Supervises and/or spearheads necessary training of subordinates (in-house and agency personnel).
• Reviews, endorses and/or approves execution of the following:

>Endorsement/ re-endorsement or pull-out of account to third party providers

>Guidelines, work instructions, contracts, and communication templates which are directly related to agency management.

>Affiliation or disaffiliation of new Collection Agencies

>Prepares request to secure approval for re-payment, workout, payment extension waivers and discounts, suspension of collection/legal action

• Performs, supervises and/or approves other tasks that may be assigned to the Agency Management Team from time to time.
• Reviews and evaluates performance of third-party providers
