Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Specialist to join our Australian-based underwriting team. You will manage end-to-end motor claim processes and coordinate with brokers and insurers, delivering timely, commercially sound outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of hands-on motor claims experience, strong negotiation skills, and excellent English communication. This role is based in Manila with Australian hours and onsite work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in hands-on insurance claims, with motor/vehicle exposure.
• Experience managing claims from lodgement to settlement and recovery.
• Strong negotiation and commercial decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English for broker and insurer liaison.
• Highly organised with ability to manage multiple claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end claims, from notification to recovery.

What You'll Do

• Manage claims end-to-end, from initial notification and assessment through lodgement, investigation, negotiation, settlement and recovery.
• Review policy coverage, claim documentation and supporting information to determine requirements and identify potential coverage issues.
• Manage a portfolio of complex motor and vehicle claims, ensuring accurate records, documentation and timely follow-up.
• Liaise with Australian brokers, policyholders, insurers and other stakeholders via phone and email to progress claims and resolve queries.
• Negotiate with relevant stakeholders and suppliers to achieve appropriate and commercially sound claim outcomes.
• Participate in regular claims meetings, provide claim updates and escalated complex or sensitive matters where required.

Key Criteria

• Possess minimum 2-3 years of hands-on insurance claims experience, with proven exposure to motor / vehicle claims.
• Demonstrated experience managing claims through the full claims lifecycle, from lodgement through to settlement and/or recovery.
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills, with the ability to assess situations and make sound decisions.
• Good understanding of insurance policies, coverage, claims processes and supporting documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal English, with confidence communicating professionally with brokers, insurers and other stakeholders.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to independently manage multiple claims in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working within an insurance broking or underwriting environment will be highly regarded.

Work setup

• Manila (BGC, Taguig): Australian hours (6am-3pm PH local time), fully onsite.
