Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with education sector exposure preferred.
• 7–10 years of operations leadership in educational or training environments.
• Strong understanding of accreditation and regulatory frameworks in the Philippines.

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Operations Manager for Technical Vocational Institute (TVI) to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila on a full-time basis. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our vocational training programmes and facilities. The Chief Operations Manager will ensure seamless execution of training delivery, maintain compliance with educational standards, and drive operational efficiency across all departments. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality vocational education and will require a leader who can balance day-to-day operations with long-term strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all operational functions of the TVI, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility management
• Ensure compliance with vocational training regulations, educational standards, and quality assurance requirements
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Supervise and mentor operations staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Coordinate with instructors and training programme leaders to ensure optimal delivery of vocational courses
• Manage budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability
• Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Liaise with external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to maintain accreditation and standards
• Implement systems and processes to enhance student experiences and programme outcomes
• Lead initiatives to optimise training delivery methods and infrastructure utilisation

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Education Management, or a related field
• Minimum 7-10 years of operations management experience, preferably in vocational training, educational institutions, or training centres
• Proven track record of successfully managing educational or training operations at a supervisory or managerial level
• Strong understanding of vocational education standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory frameworks in the Philippines
• Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Outstanding leadership and team management capabilities with experience supervising diverse staff teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with educational management systems or relevant operational software
• Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and cost control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, students, and external partners
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Preferably, knowledge of or experience with industry partnerships and employer engagement in vocational training
