Job summary

Stacktrek Enterprise Inc. in Manila City, Metro Manila, is seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Officer to keep educational facilities and training equipment in optimal condition.

This full-time role supports safe, efficient learning environments and requires hands-on maintenance across building systems. You will inspect, repair, and maintain infrastructure; coordinate with contractors; track work and inventory; and help prepare spaces for classes and events.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance, preferably in educational/training environments.
• Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
• Experience with hand and power tools including diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• OH&S knowledge and safety best practices advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of facility equipment, computer, and infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and students.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and servicing.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs and maintenance services.
• Ensure training equipment and facilities comply with safety regulations and standards.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts.
• Support setup and breakdown of training spaces and facilities for classes and events.
• Collaborate with management to develop facility improvement initiatives and capital projects.
• Ensure the facility environment remains conducive to effective learning and training delivery.

About the role

Stacktrek Enterprise Inc. is seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Officer to join our team in Manila City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our vocational training facilities. As a Facility Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all educational infrastructure, training equipment, and facilities remain in optimal working condition. This position is essential to supporting our mission of delivering high-quality vocational education and training programmes to our students.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of all facility equipment, computer, and infrastructure to ensure safety and operational efficiency

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and repair issues reported by staff and students, addressing them in a timely manner

• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing performed

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, repairs, replacements, and adjustments to ensure facilities meet health and safety standards

• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialised repairs and maintenance services when required

• Ensure all training equipment and facilities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards

• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts, ordering replacements as needed

• Support the setup and breakdown of training spaces and facilities for classes, and special events

• Collaborate with management to develop and implement facility improvement initiatives and capital projects

• Ensure the facility environment remains conducive to effective learning and training delivery

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in facility maintenance or related technical roles, preferably in an educational or training environment

• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general equipment maintenance

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise multiple maintenance tasks effectively

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with staff, students, and contractors

• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour and lift heavy items

• Relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or technical trades are advantageous

• Knowledge of occupational health and safety (OH&S) standards and best practices
