Job summary

Swissôtel Clark seeks a Chief Baker to oversee all bakery operations, ensuring high-quality breads, pastries, cakes and more. You will lead the bakery team, uphold food safety and quality standards, manage inventory and schedules, and develop new products to meet guest and business needs.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years in a similar role, a high school education, and culinary certification with strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

Secondary / High school education.
Culinary certification preferred.
Minimum 3 years of bakery experience.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee bakery operations and production of breads, pastries, cakes and related items.
Lead bakery team and ensure food safety and quality standards.

The Chief Baker is responsible for overseeing all bakery operations, ensuring the production of high-quality breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods. This role leads the bakery team, maintains food safety and quality standards, manages inventory and production schedules, and develops new bakery products to meet guest and business requirements.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

Secondary / High school education
Additional certification(s) from a reputable culinary school will be an advantage
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
