Job summary

Swissôtel Clark in the Clark Freeport Zone is seeking a Chief Baker to oversee bakery operations, ensuring the production of breads, pastries and cakes of exceptional quality. The role leads the bakery team, upholds food safety and quality standards, and manages inventory and production schedules to meet guest and business needs.

The position also involves developing new bakery products to keep offerings fresh and aligned with brand standards, with emphasis on teamwork and excellence in service.

Qualifications

• Secondary/High school education.
• Certification from reputable culinary school is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in bakery operations.
• Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
• Ability to speak other languages is an advantage.

Job Description

The Chief Baker is responsible for overseeing all bakery operations, ensuring the production of high-quality breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods. This role leads the bakery team, maintains food safety and quality standards, manages inventory and production schedules, and develops new bakery products to meet guest and business requirements.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

• Secondary / High school education
• Additional certification(s) from a reputable culinary school will be an advantage
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
• Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
