JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and expanding the company’s presence in target markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify potential clients through research, networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads.
- Schedule meetings and pitch solutions to prospective customers.
2. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Close new business opportunities to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Develop tailored proposals and present business solutions based on client needs.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure profitable terms.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, ensuring loyalty and retention.
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
4. Market Research & Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
5. Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align strategies.
- Share market and customer insights to support product innovation and service enhancements.
- Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
6. Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities using CRM/ERP tools.
- Provide regular reports on pipeline, forecasts, and results to senior management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in sales and business development.
- Fresh graduates with Sales-related internship may be considered.
- Proven ability to drive sales processes from plan to close.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Experience in a start-up environment is a plus.
