Job summary

Kingsville Property Holdings Inc is seeking a Building Engineer to oversee operation, maintenance, safety, and compliance for UPad Taft and UPad U-Belt. You will lead maintenance and security teams, ensuring MEPS integrity and regulatory adherence across both properties.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 1–2 years’ related experience, and strong problem-solving skills. This on-site position emphasizes emergency response readiness and clear reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) required.
• 1–2 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or property engineering preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the Maintenance and Housekeeping Team for both properties.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of building equipment and systems.
• Ensure proper operation, repair, and maintenance of MEPS systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Sanitary).
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and common areas.
• Supervise and manage the Security Team for both properties and ensure safety of occupants, staff and visitors.
• Monitor and maintain fire protection systems, alarms, emergency lighting, and exits.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, local regulations, and government requirements.
• Oversee pest control programs and proper garbage collection, segregation and disposal.

About the role

The Building Engineer is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, safety, and compliances of UPad Taft and UPad U-Belt. This role ensures that all building systems, facilities, and common areas are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with regulatory requirements while effectively managing the maintenance team and service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the Maintenance and Housekeeping Team for both properties
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of all building equipment and systems
• Ensure proper operation, repair, and maintenance of all MEPS systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Sanitary)
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and common areas
• Supervise and manage the Security Team for both properties
• Ensure the safety and security of the building occupants, staff, and visitors
• Monitor and maintain fire protection systems, alarms, emergency lights, and exits
• Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, local regulations, and government requirements
• Oversee and monitor pest control programs for both buildings
• Supervise proper garbage collection, segregation, and disposal

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field); licensed required
• At least 1–2 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or property engineering
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire safety systems
• Experience in residential, dormitory, or hospitality facilities is an advantage
• Ability to supervise contractors and maintenance staff
• Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
• Physically fit and willing to respond to emergencies
• Good communication skills and ability to prepare reports
