Job summary

TOA Global is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist for our onsite Manila team. You will own full-cycle bookkeeping and complex multi-state US payroll operations for diverse small business clients, using QuickBooks and ACS Payroll.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience, with strong English communication and client service skills. Night shift with premium differential is offered, onsite in Manila.

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, versatile Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to join our accounting firm's onsite team in Manila. In this dual-function role, you will take full ownership of full-cycle bookkeeping and complex multi-state US payroll operations across a diverse portfolio of small business clients. You will leverage advanced accounting tools to ensure pristine general ledgers, strict tax compliance, and seamless client communication.

Your Impact

Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Manage complete bookkeeping lifecycles for multiple small business clients-reconciling bank, credit card, and loan accounts to keep ledgers accurate.

Month-End Close & Financial Statements: Prepare adjusting journal entries, lead month-end close procedures, and generate clear, structured financial statements.

Multi-State US Payroll Management: Process multi-state payrolls on schedule using Thomson Reuters ACS Payroll, calculating base wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, garnishments, benefit deductions, and direct deposits.

Payroll Tax Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and submit federal, state, and local payroll tax filings, quarterly reconciliations, year-end reporting, and annual W-2 distributions.

Employee Lifecycle Adjustments: Process new hires, terminations, rate adjustments, and benefit status updates with absolute accuracy.

Client Engagement & Resolution: Review financial and payroll records to identify discrepancies, resolve ledger anomalies, and maintain proactive communication with US business clients to address inquiries.

What You Bring

The Experience: Minimum 5 years of solid bookkeeping and end-to-end payroll processing experience, preferably within a public accounting or client-serving bookkeeping firm.

Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online & Desktop and Thomson Reuters ACS Payroll.

US Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of general accounting principles, multi-state payroll laws, and complex US payroll tax regulations.

Core Competencies: Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional time management, and the organizational capacity to balance multiple client portfolios in a fast-paced environment.

Communication Capabilities: Strong written and verbal English communication skills for direct client service and team collaboration.
