Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.

We are seeking an accurate, organized Accountant to join our team in supporting a US public accounting firm. In this detail-driven production role, you will prepare client financial statements, execute year-end accounting closes to support business tax filings, manage recurring balance sheet reconciliations, and handle specialized client trust account reconciliations. You will work under the supervision of firm leaders to deliver clean trial balances, robust workpaper packages, and dependable general ledger management.

Your Impact

Financial Statement Preparation: Compile client open-item lists, prepare financial statements for compilation/review engagements, assemble note disclosures, and ensure consistency across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements under GAAP or OCBOA frameworks.

Year-End Accounting Close: Execute year-end closes for business clients, tying out balance sheet accounts (cash, AR/AP aging, fixed assets, loans, payroll liabilities, equity) to source documents. Post adjusting journal entries, record book-to-tax differences, and deliver clean trial balance workpaper packages to tax preparers.

Recurring Monthly Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations for operating clients, coding transactions and maintaining accurate general ledger details in accounting software to meet strict monthly deadlines.

Specialized Trust Account Reconciliations: Perform three-way monthly client trust account reconciliations for property management clients in compliance with Oregon Real Estate Agency rules, balancing adjusted bank statements, check registers, and positive owners' ledgers within 30 days of statement dates while flagging any compliance exceptions.

Client Engagement & General Duties: Communicate professionally with clients to gather documentation and resolve queries, track engagement budgets versus actual time, and safeguard confidential financial records.

What You Bring

The Experience: 2 to 5 years of accounting experience (including public accounting firm roles, staff accounting, part-time bookkeeping, or relevant accounting internships).

Software Competency: Working proficiency with general ledger platforms (experience with QuickBooks Online across multiple files or AppFolio is preferred) and intermediate MS Excel skills (formulas, lookups, formatting).

Technical Mastery: Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, accrual vs. cash basis, financial statement assembly, balance sheet account tie-outs, and trust/escrow account accounting concepts.

Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, a habit of thorough self-review, strong multi-deadline organizational skills, and sound judgment on when to resolve or elevate technical issues.

Credentials & Licensure: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field. A CPA license is not required, but CPA-eligible candidates or active CPA pursuers are welcome and supported.
