Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant HR Manager to oversee and support all facets of Human Resources, with the exception of payroll processing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring HR operations are compliant, efficient, and aligned with company objectives while fostering a positive and productive workplace.
This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who can independently manage multiple HR functions and provide strategic and operational support to management.
Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Coordinate with department heads regarding manpower requirements.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract quality candidates.
- Maintain recruitment reports and hiring metrics.
Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Conduct administrative investigations, disciplinary conferences, and employee counseling.
- Prepare Notices to Explain (NTEs), Notices of Decision (NODs), memoranda, and other HR documentation.
- Promote employee engagement and maintain a positive work environment.
Performance Management
- Coordinate employee performance evaluations.
- Monitor KPI implementation and performance review schedules.
- Assist department managers in addressing performance-related concerns.
Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits and statutory enrollments.
- Coordinate leave administration, government benefits, and employee records.
- Verify payroll inputs such as attendance, leave, and salary adjustments prior to payroll processing.
- Payroll processing will be handled by a separate Payroll Officer.
HR Operations
- Maintain and update employee 201 files and HR databases.
- Prepare employment contracts, regularization documents, promotions, transfers, and separation documents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
- Recommend and implement improvements to HR policies and procedures.
Training & Development
- Coordinate employee orientation and onboarding programs.
- Identify training needs and facilitate internal and external training activities.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and government regulations.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and required HR reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and company records.
Administrative Support
- Prepare HR reports and management presentations.
- Assist in policy development and organizational initiatives.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
