Unilogix, Inc. is seeking a leader to oversee the Processing Unit, ensuring safe, accurate, timely, and efficient handling of raw materials to support production needs.
The role focuses on maintaining food safety, quality compliance, inventory control, and continuous process improvement, while coordinating with Warehouse and Production teams to meet KPIs in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Leads and supports the overall Processing Unit, ensuring the safe, accurate, timely, and efficient processing, handling, inventory, and release of raw materials to support production requirements and business operations. The role oversees team performance, food safety, quality compliance, housekeeping, material flow, and continuous process improvement.
Oversee daily Processing Unit operations and resources to achieve established KPIs for safety, accuracy, quality, cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
Ensure a food-safe environment and proper handling, preparation, storage, and processing of raw materials and non-conforming materials.
Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, GHP, HACCP, and applicable company standards throughout processing activities.
Coordinate material stocking and movement within the processing area with Warehouse, Production, and other concerned departments.
Verify the accuracy of raw material receipts from the Warehouse and releases to Production.
Monitor material flow and inventory within the processing area to ensure availability for production requirements.
Recommend and implement process improvements to minimize waste, errors, delays, and operational inefficiencies.
Collaborate with support departments to resolve operational, quality, food safety, health, and safety concerns.
Assist in investigating food safety incidents, product safety concerns, and recalls, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food and Beverage Services Management, Business Administration/Management, or a related field.
At least 5 years of supervisory or officer level experience in food manufacturing, production operations, commissary, or similar high-volume food production environments.
Strong knowledge of Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), HACCP, food safety, and quality management systems is preferred.
Experience in raw material handling, processing operations, inventory management, and production support.
Strong leadership, people management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
High level of food safety consciousness, discipline, dependability, and attention to detail.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
