ATLANTIC GRAINS INC. in Calamba, Philippines, seeks a Quality Controller to monitor quality and safety of raw materials, in-process products, packaging materials and finished goods throughout manufacturing.
You will conduct sampling, inspections, and documentation to ensure GMP, HACCP, and food safety compliance. Collaborating with Production and other departments, you will address quality issues, verify CCPs including metal detector checks, and support audits and continuous improvement
We are looking for a Quality Controller to monitor and ensure the quality and safety of raw materials, in-process products, packaging materials, and finished goods throughout the manufacturing process. The role involves conducting sampling, inspections, quality assessments, product disposition, GMP monitoring, and documentation while working closely with Production and other departments to promptly address quality issues and non-conformities.
Conduct sampling, visual inspection, and quality monitoring of raw materials, in-process products, packaging materials, and finished goods.
Monitor critical quality parameters throughout the milling, blending, packing, storage, and loading processes.
Perform sampling for laboratory and microbiological analysis according to established frequencies and standards.
Verify additive dosage, water addition, product specifications, packaging materials, and other process requirements.
Monitor and verify equipment and production area cleanliness in compliance with GMP and food safety standards.
Assess and issue appropriate dispositions for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
Conduct inspections and verification of trucks, warehouses, production areas, and food-contact surfaces.
Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs), including metal detector verification.
Conduct GMP inspections and monitor personnel hygiene and compliance.
Identify, document, and immediately coordinate quality issues, discrepancies, and non-conformities with Production and concerned departments.
Prepare and complete quality checklists, reports, records, and electronic system updates.
Monitor warehouse conditions, including temperature and relative humidity, as required.
Assist in handling product non-conformities, material disposition, and customer-related quality concerns.
Participate in internal and external audits, inspections, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide clear and complete reports regarding incidents and non-conformities that may affect food safety and product quality.
Act as roving personnel or department representative during Management by Walking Around (MBWA).
Promote and uphold the company's food safety and quality culture, GMP, HACCP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Industrial Technology (Major in Food Technology), or any related course.

Candidates with an unrelated degree may be considered with at least 1 year of relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar position.
Vocational graduates or college undergraduates may be considered with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar position.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow quality and food safety standards.
Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Willing to work in a manufacturing/plant environment and shifting schedule, as required.
