Job summary

Production Lead

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Production Lead to oversee daily production activities and lead production workers during each shift. The Production Lead will be responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining product quality, cleanliness, safety, and compliance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate production workers during assigned shifts.

• Assign daily tasks and ensure proper manpower allocation across production activities.

• Monitor the production schedule and ensure daily production targets and deadlines are met.

• Ensure products consistently meet established quality standards and specifications.

• Enforce and monitor compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, and sanitation procedures.

• Conduct routine checks throughout the production process to identify quality or operational issues.

• Ensure proper handling, preparation, processing, and storage of raw materials and finished products.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas, equipment, and workstations.

• Monitor proper use of materials and help minimize production waste and losses.

• Ensure production records, batch records, inventory usage, and other required documentation are properly accomplished.

• Immediately report equipment issues, product quality concerns, shortages, safety concerns, and production delays to management.

• Train and guide production workers on proper procedures, quality standards, hygiene, and food safety practices.

• Promote discipline, teamwork, efficiency, and accountability within the production team.

• Assist management in improving production processes, productivity, and overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food manufacturing, food production, or a similar production environment is preferred.

• Previous supervisory, team lead, or production lead experience is an advantage.

• Familiarity with GMP, SOP implementation, sanitation, and food safety practices.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on product quality and consistency.

• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Willing to work on-site and on shifting schedules, when required.
