Solvire Life Incorporated is seeking an Accounting Assistant in Metro Manila to support the Finance and Accounting Department. The role handles day-to-day accounting operations, including payables, receivables, expense monitoring, and coordination with suppliers and banks.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accountancy or Accounting Technology, 1–2 years of general accounting experience, and proficiency in MS Excel and common accounting software. Fresh grads are welcome to apply.
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the Finance and Accounting Department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring timely reporting. He/She will handle day-to-day accounting operations including payables, receivables, expense monitoring, and coordination with internal departments and external partners such as suppliers and banks.
Record and maintain daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
Prepare journal entries, vouchers, and other accounting documents.
Assist in monthly closing of books and preparation of financial statements.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all accounting records.
Process supplier invoices, verify supporting documents, and ensure timely payments.
Prepare check vouchers and coordinate with banks for fund disbursements.
Maintain an updated record of payables and payment schedules.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Record sales invoices, official receipts, and collections from customers or distributors.
Monitor outstanding receivables and prepare aging reports.
Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing Department for collection follow-ups.
Review and process expense reports, cash advances, and liquidations from employees.
Ensure compliance with company policies and completeness of supporting documents.
Assist in monitoring petty cash funds and reimbursements.
Assist in the preparation and filing of BIR returns and other government reports (e.g., VAT, withholding tax, income tax).
Maintain organized documentation for audits and government inspections.
Support external auditors during year-end audits.
Coordinate with suppliers, banks, and other departments on financial-related concerns.
Prepare accounting reports and summaries as required by management.
Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Finance Manager or SLI Head.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or related business course.
Experience:
At least 1–2 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in a pharmaceutical, FMCG, or trading company.
Fresh graduates with strong accounting fundamentals may also be considered.
Knowledge & Skills:
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP).
Familiarity with BIR compliance and reporting is an advantage.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
